Quick Guide to Art Show Procedures

  1. All entries for the Warranwood Art Show must be submitted via the online system at Gallery 247.  Unfortunately, no manual entries can be accepted.

  2. If you haven’t already registered with Gallery 247, you can register for a free account to create your own free artist’s profile, upload photos of your artwork and enter artwork into the Warranwood Art Show.

  3. We accept for exhibition:
    • Original framed paintings; drawings etc and unframed works on canvas are accepted for submission.
    • Handmade Limited Edition prints, numbered and signed, including etchings, linocuts, screen prints and woodcuts etc. with low editions will be accepted for submission.
    • Photographs and Digital Works will be accepted for submission when entered as a limited, numbered edition, signed and numbered by the artist.
    • Three dimensional (3D) pieces will be accepted for submission, including ceramics, glassware, sculpture, jewellery etc.   Please contact the Artist Liaison for further details.

  4. Submissions open on 5th February 2018 and close on 1st April 2018.

  5. You will be able to submit up to 6 artworks for consideration by the Selection Panel, each attracting a non-refundable submission fee of $5 each piece, however, acceptances are at the discretion of the Selection Panel.

  6. Each submitting artist will be notified by email of the accepted artworks into the Warranwood Art Show by 8th April 2018.

  7. To proceed with exhibiting at the Show, payment of the Acceptance fee must be paid via the online payment system by Friday 20th April 2018.
    • Artworks up to 0.75 square metre - $10.00
    • Artworks over 0.75 square metre - $20.00
    • Note - no artwork with any one side in excess of 1.5 metres will be accepted.

Perhaps some or all of your work will not be accepted and here are some key reasons:

  • You have not submitted a photograph of your entry.
  • You have not complied with the Terms and Conditions.
  • Because of limited exhibition space, it is important that final acceptances don’t exceed the capacity of the venue or create overcrowding that compromises the presentation of the Show.
  • The Selection Panel are looking for a diversity of works and will take into account style, size and subject matter etc in their decision.

If your work is not accepted, it does not mean that the work is bad; it is that the Selectors must make difficult decisions to maintain the Show’s character and ambiance.  Perhaps it is a matter of space and there was simply not enough room in the venue.

Throughout this process, our friendly and helpful Artist Liaisons will be in contact with you, keep you informed and remind you of important dates.
